Help celebrate our Kīlauea School 6th Grade graduating class of 2020!

On Friday, May 22, from 11-12, families of the students will be holding a short caravan drive through Kīlauea for our graduates. As you know, in these times, our children cannot have a regular ceremony, so this is a SOCIALLY DISTANT way to celebrate them and greet the community, while staying SAFE and in accordance with all county regulations. People all over the country are doing car parades like this to celebrate and honor graduates (Hanalei school next week!). The drive begins at KILAUEA GYM PARKING LOT, 11:00 AM and will follow the route attached on the map. We will circle town at least two or three towns (depending on turn out) so should be driving between just after 11-12 ish.

Please spread the word and tell friends and ʻOhana to support from their yards or safe places along the parade route like the dispensary park. WEARING MASKS and 6 FEET APART. Mahalo also to Anaina Hou for allowing the kids to display the banners they have created themselves on the mini golf fence for a week! We are so proud of our keiki and excited to give them a bit of extra love this year.

This is not an official school event. It is organized by families and the community! Hope you can join us! E mālama pono ʻoukou, and mahalo for all you do for our town and community!
