Sharing from Uncle Gary Smith – For the first time in many years little league/bronco division returned to Kīlauea. Mahalo to the East Side “Kauai Boys” and coach Shigeta with 2 players representing Kīlauea, Tavian Kaleiohi and Kingston Anakala who put up a valiant effort only to fall short 7-3 to Coach Hank Ibia’s “Team Baseball”.
Mahalo to Karl Kimura, Daniel La’a, Kawaihau Torio and Weston Moniz of Kilauea for preparing the field and installing a temporary outfield fence prior to the game. Lots of Aloha, good sportsmanship, camaraderie, and appreciation for good weather and great ballpark! Proud day for Kīlauea and the empowered citizens who had the foresight to see an opportunity improve our community and pull this successful day off!
